Blake Taneff Qualifies for State Meet

The Eagles competed at the regional meet on May 27th and 29th.  Blake Taneff was the lone athlete to qualify to the state meet, tying a school record 9:35 in the 3200 meters to take 3rd place.  One of only 3 underclassmen to make the Division I meet as a sophomore in the 3200, Blake will run Saturday at 6:10 p.m.  He will be running against the likes of OSU recruits Donny Roys (Medina) and Julian Meyer (Ravenna), returning state champion and fellow sophomore Zach Wills (Mason), and fellow Central Ohio standouts Yoshi Shimizu (Hilliard Davidson) and Jeff Hannaford (Westerville North).   Blake will be looking to place in the top 8 and set a school record on Saturday.  Any athlete that is interested in watching Blake run should contact Coach Olinger to make plans on attending with the team!
